How our Chaga is processed
Our Chaga Mushroom Extract is among the most potent available. We only use 100% mushrooms, no mycelium or substrates.
Freshly ground, high-quality Chaga is sent directly from our foragers in North-Central Alaska to a GMP-certified facility to be naturally processed and tinctured. Our foragers are native to the areas where they harvest Chaga. They work carefully to protect the Birch trees and mitigate any environmental impact of harvesting.
The ground mushroom powder undergoes a dual extraction process. The grounds are soaked in organic cane alcohol for 30 days for the first extraction. Then, grounds are simmered in hot water for 24 hours as part of the second extraction. The two solutions from the extraction methods are combined to create our Chaga Tincture.
This double extraction process optimizes the bioavailability of all active compounds in the Chaga. It creates a potent elixir rich in beta-glucans, betulinic acid, polysaccharides, and other health-promoting compounds.
Finally, we put our Chaga Mushroom Tincture in the best bottle and dropper we could find. Made from thick, dark, UV-resistant Miron glass, our bottle keeps the Chaga Extract incredibly fresh and extends its shelf life for years.
